Second Flight

November 12th was the second flight of my life, back from Melbourne to Singapore. I wasn't as anxious as the first time, nor scared. I remember the first time I sit on a plane, looking out from the window towards the wing. I remember the sensation of the plane taxiing into the runway and starting to speed up.

Vacations

Yesterday (8th November 2011) concluded my first final examination period at RMIT. Maybe it is because I did not really feel any pressure on the last subject; there was no 'big relief' or anything after the exams.

No pomp and circumstance, as I always like to say.

OCD Virgo

I used to think I am a perfectionist. They say this is a special trait of a Virgo, aside from being very sensitive about hygiene. The reason I think I am a perfectionist is because I tend to do things over and over again to get the most perfect result. One very good example is playing a city simulation game called SimCity. Whenever I feel that the city is doomed to expand even only after just merely 50 in-game years, I will obliterate the whole city and rebuild it. And rebuild it. And rebuild it.

I have gone through a lot of different city designs, always looking for the best symmetry, the tidiest city possible. This is probably the best example of my perfectionism. Other examples include arranging notes to the tidiest possible, trying to keep a book from being dog-eared, and so on.

That was until someone during my Taylor's University years noticed it.
"You're OCD, is it?"
"I guess so." *laugh*
So the proper name for my behaviour should be called obsessive compulsive disorder, and not perfectionism.

And I am not hating it. That is what makes me special.

Prayers

Life is not just about racing with time.

Adapted from a page on Facebook.

~*~*~*~*~*~

Man: Tell me, why has life become complicated now?
Jesus: Stop analyzing life. Just live it. Analysis is what makes it complicated.

Man: Why are we then constantly unhappy?
Jesus: Your today is the tomorrow that you worried about yesterday. You are worrying because you are analyzing. Worrying has become your habit. That’s why you are not happy.

Man: But how can we not worry when there is so much uncertainty?
Jesus: Uncertainty is inevitable, but worrying is optional.

Man: But then, there is so much pain due to uncertainty.
Jesus: Pain is inevitable, but suffering is optional.

Man: If suffering is optional, why do good people always suffer?
Jesus: Diamond cannot be polished without friction. Gold cannot be purified without fire. Good people go through trials, but don’t suffer. With that experience their life become better not bitter.

Man: You mean to say such experience is useful?
Jesus: Yes. In every term, Experience is a hard teacher. She gives the test first and the lessons afterwards.

Man: But still, why should we go through such tests? Why can’t we be free from problems?
Jesus: Problems are Purposeful Roadblocks Offering Beneficial Lessons (to) Enhance Mental Strength. Inner strength comes from struggle and endurance, not when you are free from problems.

Man: Frankly in the midst of so many problems, we don’t know where we are heading.

Jesus: If you look outside you will not know where you are heading. Look inside. Looking outside, you dream. Looking inside, you awaken. Eyes provide sight. Heart provides insight.

Man: Sometimes not succeeding fast seems to hurt more than moving in the right direction. What should I do?
Jesus: Success is a measure as decided by others. Satisfaction is a measure as decided by you. Knowing the road ahead is more satisfying than knowing you rode ahead. You work with the compass. Let others work with the clock.

Man: In tough times, how do you stay motivated?
Jesus: Always look at how far you have come rather than how far you have to go. Always count your blessing, not what you are missing.

Man: What surprises you about people?
Jesus: When they suffer they ask, “why me? When they prosper, they never ask “Why me” Everyone wishes to have truth on their side, but few want to be on the side of the truth.

Man: Sometimes I ask, who I am, why am I here. I can’t get the answer.
Jesus: Seek not to find who you are, but to determine who you want to be. Stop looking for a purpose as to why you are here. Create it. Life is not a process of discovery but a process of creation.

Man: How can I get the best out of life?
Jesus: Face your past without regret. Handle your present with confidence. Prepare for the future without fear.

Man: One last question. Sometimes I feel my prayers are not answered.
Jesus: There are no unanswered prayers. At times the answer is NO.

Man: Thank you for this wonderful chat. I am so happy to start the day with a new sense of inspiration.
Jesus: Well. Keep the faith and drop the fear. Don’t believe your doubts and doubt your beliefs. Life is a mystery to solve not a problem to resolve. Trust me. Life is wonderful if you know how to live.

Man: Thank you so much.
Jesus: You are always welcome. Have a good day my friend.

Recent Days pt.1

"Where'd you be? Weribee! *giggle*"
- old blind man to his friend, Bob, who is also blind

Friday morning started out as usual, waking up in the morning and taking a train ride to Melbourne for class. But that day was different.

When the train stopped at north Geelong, two big dogs entered and startled me. I don't usually see animals boarding train; it is prohibited. I quickly remembered one exception: guide dogs. Then I saw them. Two old men holding the dogs. Blind people.

The guide dogs, one black and one brown, guided the old folks to the seats just beside me. They are quite adorable, despite their big size. The old folks are friends, and they chatted light-heartedly.

I was sitting quietly, listening to music, as usual. I travel to Melbourne everyday morning alone anyway. The old folks made me unplug my earphones, and think.

There are two types of blind people in the world: those who think their life is meaningless and continue to sit by the road and beg for sympathy; and those who choose to accept their disability and live their life. The old folks in the train fall into the latter.

It was their optimism that struck me. Despite having no clue of what is going on around them, they continue to live their life as usual, going places, meeting friends, even taking train ride. Their conversations told me this. They didn't sound sad at all. Maybe they had gone through those time.

It made me realize how fortunate I am, being able to see the world. I had a few times, during some group activities, walking around blindfolded. It wasn't a very pleasant experience. Not at all. I felt scared, afraid.

I wonder how will I cope with it if I were blind. Probably I would fall into the first category, lamenting about my disability.

That is just me, anyway.

Blogger on the Go

Apparently Google released an Android app for Blogger. With the advent of microblogging sites like Facebook and Twitter, the good old blogging trend is slowly dying out.

Or does it? This post is written from my Android HTC Sensation, and it will mark my return to blogging.

Happy blogging.

#3: A Laughter Long Forgotten

August 2, 2011

We were sitting together, chatting about life. I showed you some of my pictures I took from overseas, sharing the life in a different culture. You were listening very eagerly, and I had the urge to hug you, but I resisted it, knowing it would hurt both of us more than that. Somehow I remembered you and I were having our own relationship, that there would be nothing between us except friendship. I remembered I had hurt her more than I could remember.

And that probably stopped me from even touching you. I remembered I had promised myself to put everything behind.

Then came my best friend from secondary school. I remembered how we used to sit in the same class together. We chatted and laughed and shared gossips. You were laughing like before, before your life took a sudden turn in 2008. I was laughing like before too, before we parted ways in 2009.

Then there were those prefect friends, fooling around like before. We laughed out loud together. I felt happy, as if my body was re-energized. And suddenly it hit me. I realized I had not laughed like this for a very, very long time. I don't even remember since when.

Nevertheless, I enjoyed that brief moment of pure laughter. Until I suddenly woke up.

And it was nothing but a dream. A dream that I will try my best to remember. A dream that reminded me to keep in touch with my friends, who were the ones to stick with me through thick and thin.

I am not lonely after all. It had always been myself all along.

Welcome to Oz, mate!

4 July 2011
Everytime I went to Changi Airport, it was because either my brother is leaving or arriving. Me and my parents will stand by the gate of the 'Departure' or 'Arrival' hall. During departure, we would follow them to the departure gate, and never crosses the border.

At the border.
That night it was my turn to cross that line for the first time, and see for myself exactly what lies beyond it. It was nothing, actually. Just a bunch more checks and scrutiny and custom officers. I wasn't very happy or excited. I was a bit sad actually, because she was not able to bid me farewell that night due to examinations. Thought I was happy that my parents were there. I should learn to count my blessings.

My first plane ride.
That night I boarded a plane for the first time in my life. I have heard stories about how unstable the plane will be during take-off and landings. Now it is my turn to experience it. Not so bad, I would say. Although the plane was not exactly quiet as I thought it would be. Probably because the seat I took was by the wing.

Flight information.
That night I was in the plane alone. The seats beside me were empty. It was approaching 12AM in the midnight, and I should have taken a sleep. The only thing that kept me entertained was the monitor in front of me that displays flight information. They also provided songs for your enjoyment. I was rather happy to find that they included my favourite artist Fish Leong's latest album, 《情歌没有告诉你》. I enjoyed that.

Good morning, Melbourne!
That night I flew abroad for the first time in my life. It was sad actually, that I had no one to share this excitement of being overseas for the first time. No friends, no family. It was even sadder that she was not beside me. We could have experienced this for the first time together. We could have talked the whole night. We could have shared our thoughts when we saw the above picture. There were so many things I wanted to talk about, but no one was there to listen.

But I am not here to travel. I am here to study. So I didn't really mind that no one was with me. It would be a very interesting experience for me in the coming 2 years. There are still some trivial stories I want to share, but that will be next post.

"Good morning ladies and gentlemen. This is your Captain speaking. Hope you had a good night rest. The time now is 6.30AM local time. We will be landing at the Melbourne Tullamarine airport in a short while. The weather forecast indicates there will be a slight rain in Melbourne, so the landing will be a bit bumpy but that's not to be worried. The temperature in Melbourne is 9'C. We hope you enjoyed this flight. And welcome to Melbourne."

42 days

Sunday, June 5th, 2011

Counting down, it will be 42 days from today before I go abroad. Time really flies. Tomorrow will be my last week of schooling in Taylor's University, and I guess it is also essentially my last week of schooling in Malaysia. I am having mixed emotion.

A few days ago, I received a call from my agent. They told me the offer I accepted is based on a duration of 3.5 years. Any more exemption I will have to settle it myself when I reached there. I thought of my future. I will turn 22 this year in September. If I managed to appeal for further exemption, it will still be at least 2.5 years of schooling.

I once had the chance to finish my study before 24, even 23, but I screwed up. I have wasted a year in 2009-2010. And now I have to study half-a-year more than anybody else. I guess that is probably the main reason why no one chooses RMIT, aside from the fee difference. Yes, UK might be cheaper than Australia.

By the time I graduate, I will be 25. I did not expect this. At all.

I have to admit, over the course of studying electrical & electronic engineering in Taylor's, I have picked up a lot of skills and knowledge. I did not regret studying E&E, nor will I regret. E&E is certainly a course I enjoyed. But whether I am suitable to be an engineer, I am still not sure. Some friends said I am more of a scientist than an engineer. In any case, I will continue to pursuit my study.

Time sure flies. In this 42 days, I will have a lot to settle. Visa, air ticket, confirmation of enrolment letter which I am still waiting, accommodation...

Recently, there are photos of friends going off to UK. Sheffield, specifically. It is always a comforting sight to see them going there, but at the same time I feel deep sadness. I could have joined them. I could have met up with them.

I will be going Australia alone. This is going to be special. This is going to be different. I am not going to waste my life anymore.

Of Dilemma and Undecidedness

It has been a long time.

May 2011

People are starting to worry about their future. Some say UK is a good place to further studies, others argue Australia is nice. Some prefer to stay local, to reduce the burden on their family. Most are in dilemma. Many undecided.

United Kingdom or Australia? That is the pivotal question. Great Britain Pound is heavier, but due to the similarity of syllabus, 2 years are exempted. Australia Dollar is lower, but is on the rising. Taylor's had been known to partner with UK universities like Birmingham or Portsmouth. But not Australia, except maybe UWA.

Claims and rumours are thrown around like waste paper to the basket. Some say University of Western Australia changed their policy, no more 2+2 programme. Some say Portsmouth and Bath never accept third year students. Some say RMIT is not good.

But in the end there is a trend. More and more people prefer Birmingham and get two years exemption. Taylor's used to offer twinning programme with Birmingham, but in year 2009, they cancelled the partnership and rolled out their own degree. Now students have to do credit transfer.

I guess I will be going RMIT alone, which I actually kind of like it. I admit I am a loner. I do not like to follow people to the same place, seeing people I hate to see again. I want to go somewhere no one knows me, somewhere peaceful. It will be a new experience going alone, adapting to a new environment. That is why I chose RMIT, where no one will ever think of going because of the stingy 1 year exemption. Plus, my brother is there, at least I do not have to worry much.

The only problem is, will I be able to leave everything behind?
Can we get through this 3 years without any problems...?

Life is like riding a Roller-Coaster

Isn't it?

Hang on tight!

I went to the academic advisor agent AUG in SS15 yesterday asking about my application status to RMIT, I was shocked to know that I was actually neglecting the application for a long time now. They have asked for details since January! That's why I have not received any reply yet. So I set out to gather all the documents required: the syllabus for each and every single subject I studied, my public university's transcript, and whatnots. That sounds very, very tiring, since I have to ask for the documents from every lecturer, including those who have left.

Then today, I happened to ask from the correct lecturer. She gave me a whole list of subject outlines, which is actually overkill. But what matter was I don't need to find every lecturer anymore! That's a big relief. And now the coaster train started to climb upwards.

Further into the day, I learnt that next week's mid-term examination is postponed to the following week, which means I will be able to go Kampar and visit my friend this weekend! I have been planning this for a long time now. Now the train kept climbing upwards.

And then, when I was about to go home at 7pm, I decided to go back and have some KFC as dinner since my cousin went to Genting already. The train reached climax and started to fall, fast. That was when the shadow of my car's former self came back and haunt me.

Mom's Kancil is 15 years old this year. Dad have been doing a great job maintaining it, but nothing in this world is perfect or ideal. Machines wear and tear; engines age; electronics malfunction. This had happened to Kancil since a few years ago already, when the first symptom showed up: the car was not able to start at all. It had gone through 2 relapses already, the last one was on the last day of my holiday, February 27th.

The relay was the culprit, failing to switch on the starter during the ignition, causing the engine not to be cranked. And I was stuck in the basement parking in my university, feeling helpless. I couldn't do anything; I had no spare relays, and dad is more than 300km away. The only thing I could do was call him.

After some discussion, dad advised me on how to fix it. Lucky for me, two of my friends, JJ and Darren, happened to drive by me, and they got down to help me. Alas, my Kancil was fixed, temporarily, until I service it tomorrow morning. Had they not passed by me, I would not have gotten home tonight typing all these. A friend in need is a friend indeed.

The coaster train came to a level ground. When I got home, internet was miraculously fixed. The train started to climb up again.

Life is really like riding a roller-coaster, isn't it?

Java 1, 2, 3!

Let's think in Java, folks!
So, I have been learning Java since October 2010. What have I learnt?

Making a simple text-displaying program is the first step for everyone who is learning programming language. Dubbed the "Hello World" program, it simply displays the message "Hello World!", and it can be written in any programming language. That is an easy feat for anyone with logical mind.

And that marks the beginning of my Java learning path.

The Java developer Oracle Corporation (formerly Sun Microsystems) website is very kind to offer a downloadable tutorial for anyone who wishes to pick up this powerful programming language derived from the basic C programming language, though the tutorial is not very detailed and reliable for a dummy like me. That is why I need a proper book, maybe Java for Dummies.

Addiction redefined indeed!
Fuelled by the success of an indie game called Minecraft and the embedded system subject I studied, I decided to pick up Java back in the end of October 2010. How awesome it would be if I were able to create a simple 2D game, I thought. By creating your own game, you can make it work the way you want, do the things you want it to do. Though I will not aim to create the next Minecraft. I will make games much to my own content.

Learning programming language actually serves me two purposes. One is the above mentioned, and the other is understanding the hard work and logic behind every electronic. In embedded system, we learnt about programming integrated circuit (IC). We learnt about interfacing with LCD, making simple programs. This has opened up my eyes to understanding how exactly does electronic stuff work.

Shall I push the button?
For example: How does a button work? How is it able to do something with a press of a button? Maybe you pressed the "Date" button in your watch, and the display changes to the current date. How do they do it? You may think it is very simple to program such an action, but you may also be surprised at how tedious it can be to actually write the codes to make the IC perform such task.

And if making such a simple task requires no less than 50 lines, imagine how many lines of code is needed to make a game. There is a reason why programs take years to develop.

In a nutshell, I did not intend to pick up programming; I actually stumbled upon it. Learning programming language has taught me a lot of things, brush up my logic, and makes me really appreciate the hard work behind every electronic and software.

Current Java learning stage: Graphical User Interface

P.S. - And there's Mindstorm NXT2.0 too!

Too many things, too little time!

I wanna learn:
  1. Java programming language.
  2. to fly Belt-CP2.
  3. to build impressive robots with NXT.
  4. cooking/baking.
  5. skateboarding.
  6. French.
  7. Piano.
I wanna:
  1. accompany her.
  2. go travelling with her.
  3. meet up with old friends.
  4. play badminton.
  5. play football.
  6. chat with papa and mama.
  7. look at chickens and ducks and dogs.
  8. read magazines and follow the current technology/science news.
  9. do interesting physics/astronomy DIY projects with Andrew.

  11. feel the morning estate breeze.
Days remaining? 14.

I don't like this. I don't like this at all. :(

Mission Impossible

So, after going home on January 28th, I managed to catch up with my big brother who was on a few days holiday at that time. I reached home around 2pm that day and my brother, unsurprisingly, was still sleeping. Dad was supposed to take him to barber shop but he was busy, so I was charged with the task.

Well, it was not something I would want to complain. I had not seen my brother for almost a year. While in the car, we chatted a lot, from study to heli. And that was when the conversation started to get exciting.

It was him who introduced me to this hobby. It has been our dream toy. We discussed everything about R/C helicopter, from technical stuff to bragging our skills. It has been a long time since we chatted like this.

After having his hair cut, we went to a nearby mamak restaurant to have our lunch. That was when I suggested to look for a new helicopter, since my old Big Lama has been out of service for a long time. That was when he suggested to buy me a new helicopter. A quick phone call to dad and my ear was filled with angry words. Well, not so angry actually. :D

A quick visit to the local hobby shop had my brother eyeing on some models. Too bad he didn't bring his wallet (and most importantly his credit card!). Another quick phone call to dad and he was still disagreeing. Brother had instead followed his own way. So we went home and grab his wallet (and of course, card!), and made another visit to the shop.

And with a swipe of his "almighty" credit card, he bought me a new R/C helicopter.

E-Sky Belt-CP 2
Another E-Sky (because the shop only sells E-Sky and other more expensive brands), another helicopter. This is collective pitch. This is 3D capable. This is serious flying. This is wooden blade. This is brushless motor. This is potong rumput. This is Belt-CP 2.

Been flying for a few weeks now and I still cannot hover it in place. This is really serious business.

Brother has been teasing me since the day we got this. He is very confident I will crash it in this month. But I will prove to him my clean sheet record is not a laughing matter! Don't play play! :DD

#2: Fly Me To The Outer Space

20th January, 2011

We had a space shuttle in our world. Strictly speaking, it was not exactly a space shuttle. It was some kind of commercial plane, but with a rather sleek body shape. The plane was capable of flying to an altitude so high that you could exit the atmosphere for a very brief view of the outer space. I was lucky to be one of the passenger of this plane.

The plane could only fly past the thin blue line, the line that separates the Earth's upper atmosphere and the outer space, albeit for a very short period of time - less than 5 minutes. I boarded the plane along with other passengers, and we prepared to take off.

The take-off was pretty smooth, unlike those of conventional space shuttle. To exit the Earth's atmosphere, the plane needed to thrust forward into the sky for about 10 minutes. The plane was equipped with state-of-the-art life support system and an artificial gravity system, so that when we exited the Earth's atmosphere, and thus the gravitational pull, we would not float around in zero gravity, nor would we run out of oxygen. So it was very safe for untrained personnel to board the plane.

After about 10 minutes, the sky slowly turned dark. We exited the Earth's atmosphere, to which I was greeted with an indescribable breathtaking view. I saw the Moon, with my naked eyes, for the very first time, hanging against a dark starry space backdrop. I saw Mars, too, with its unique red hue surface. Then there was Saturn with its trademark ring of debris. It was stunning. Absolutely stunning.

I quickly took out my camera phone to take a snapshot, but before I could do that, I heard a beeping sound. I turned around to find out where it came from, but my vision started to blur. Before I knew it, I felt a hard yank from my back.

I opened my eyes, I was lying down. Alas, it was nothing but a dream.

Back To Normal Life

The final product, wireless LED light!
Now that almost all the stress are over, finally there is time to get back to blogging. I have been busy for the past month, doing coursework and projects and reports, but now, finally now, they are all over. Project went smoothly, at least we managed to make a wireless LED, successfully demonstrated the wireless energy transfer. Though our original goal was to make a wireless handphone charger, in the end we could not make it. The voltage in the receiving side is sufficient, but there is not enough current.

An analogy would be: A ball is lifted up to a height of 1 meter (potential difference, voltage) in Moon, but the gravity is too low, so the ball drops gently down on the ground (current), as opposed to a hard smack back in Earth.

Reports, though mostly last minutes effort, are done and submitted too. For the past couple of months, we finally feel... free.

Now all that is left is an over-difficult calculator. We are to design, build, and program a simple calculator by the end of this semester. Sounds simple, but we were wrong. The microcontroller unit (MCU) we use is a very simple 4-bit processor, which means it does not have the ability to digest all the information and data needed to make a over simple calculator, one that does only simple arithmetic calculation (+-*/). And we thought of adding the sine cosine tangent function into it at the beginning. How foolish we were.

I picked up Java programming out of curiosity and fun in the mid of this semester, but I had not have the time to practice it. I stopped somewhere in the month of November 2010, and I tried to pick it up in January 2011, only to find that I had forgotten almost everything. Java is a very powerful programming language, able to write web applications, games, and maybe some practical applications like face detection.

Hello World!
My ultimate goal is to make a simple 2D game, maybe something like a Tetris or PacMan or maybe a scrolling RPG game. I will try come up with a new idea if I managed to make one. A new genre.
So far I still have not managed to make a simple comparison program. -.-"

I have learnt a bit of C programming language back in first semester, so it was not very difficult for me to pick up Java, which is mostly based on C. Hasif has been asking me to join the university's robotic group to build an intelligent rescue robot, but I rejected.

Sure it sounds fun. Sure it may be useful for my future. But I realized that I am not very interested in that. I realized that I will not do things I am not interested in. I like programming, but not this. I prefer to work alone.

So now what is left is:

  1. to build a simple calculator before Chinese New Year.
  2. to brace through the Taylor's Engineering Fair 2011.
  3. to do well in the final examinations.
  4. to celebrate a happy and joyful Chinese New Year.
  5. to get well soon. And I mean it.
And so, back to my Java programming! And study. And projects.

By The Time I Close My Eyes

By the time I close my eyes, I see the past.
I see the wrongs I had done.
But I cannot see the good I had given.

By the time I close my eyes, I see the present.
I see the people around me.
But I cannot see you.

By the time I close my eyes, I see the future.
I see what will I become in the next ten years.
But I cannot see where am I going.

By the time I close my eyes, I see you.
I see you so clearly.
As if you are in front of me.

By the time I close my eyes, I see myself.
I see me hiding in the dark.
I see me running away.
Away from everything.
Away from life.

By the time I close my eyes, I see us.
I see us walking together, towards the sunset.
I see us smiling.
I see us happy.

By the time I close my eyes, I feel happy.
Yet I feel sad.
And lonely.

By the time I close my eyes, I feel fear.
I wished I hadn't closed them.
I fear of losing my sight on you.
I fear of not being able to see.

By the time I close my eyes, I wonder.
Will I ever open them... again?

New Year, New Resolution, New Wishlist

It is year 2011 already, and I am still living in 2010. So it is time for Duno to update this blog. :)
Apart from visual updates, of course. :D

I remember on 1st January, I heard something on the radio. The deejays were discussing about long- and short-term resolution. It is a very common thing to hear someone says, "My new year resolutions are...", or "This year I'm going to...". These are examples of long-term goal; you made yourself a promise to lose weight in this whole year. One of the deejays argues that this long-term goal will not do you any good as you will not be motivated to do the same thing the whole year. Come to think of it, how many times have we heard other people ranting about unachieved resolution at the end of the year? "Oh ya, I told myself to lose weight this year, but in the end it's the other way around."

Short-term goals, on the other hand, are little achievement we accumulate throughout the year. I set myself a target this month, a target of getting a good result. Then I will be motivated to work towards it and achieve it at the end of the day. Personally I think this is a better way to set goals rather than planning way ahead in the beginning of the year. The short-term deejay made this good point here.

In Chinese, there is a saying that goes, "Plans will never beat changes." Whatever we planned ahead may have a chance of something changes. Someone planned to lose weight, but his lifestyle changed some day in the future. Suddenly food price dropped, and food came into his life like ants converging towards a candy. Or someone planned to travel overseas, but on that day he had something important to do. These scenarios are way too common.

So I will be setting myself some short-term New Year Resolutions instead. And here is the list, unsorted:

  1. Get a cumulative grade point average (CGPA) of higher than 3.20 (Currently at 3.00)
  2. Complete the application of credit transfer to RMIT or QUT (80% done)
  3. Get fat (again)
  4. Do well in the coming final exams (Before Chinese New Year. Argh!)
  5. Stay healthy (seriously)
Staying healthy will be my top priority. Ever since I moved into university life, my lifestyle changes drastically. Now I do not have my meals regularly. I drink less water. I seldom eat breakfast, due to my laziness to prepare. I seldom exercise, because either there is no partner to play with or no time. I skipped dinner a few times. And I keep having this unrecoverable flu and sore throat and cough. The CGPA goal will be the second priority.

And how does a New Year be completed without a wish list? :P
  1. XBox360 or PS3 (Optional)
  2. Digital video camera (Yeah!)
  3. New RC Helicopter (Big Lama is down)
A rather short one because I do not want to request too much. I wanted the video camera quite a long time before already. It must be fun to go around record what I see everyday, taking a "montage" to the next level. ^^

Hope my wishes can be fulfilled, at least one. :)
