Life is like riding a Roller-Coaster

Isn't it?

Hang on tight!

I went to the academic advisor agent AUG in SS15 yesterday asking about my application status to RMIT, I was shocked to know that I was actually neglecting the application for a long time now. They have asked for details since January! That's why I have not received any reply yet. So I set out to gather all the documents required: the syllabus for each and every single subject I studied, my public university's transcript, and whatnots. That sounds very, very tiring, since I have to ask for the documents from every lecturer, including those who have left.

Then today, I happened to ask from the correct lecturer. She gave me a whole list of subject outlines, which is actually overkill. But what matter was I don't need to find every lecturer anymore! That's a big relief. And now the coaster train started to climb upwards.

Further into the day, I learnt that next week's mid-term examination is postponed to the following week, which means I will be able to go Kampar and visit my friend this weekend! I have been planning this for a long time now. Now the train kept climbing upwards.

And then, when I was about to go home at 7pm, I decided to go back and have some KFC as dinner since my cousin went to Genting already. The train reached climax and started to fall, fast. That was when the shadow of my car's former self came back and haunt me.

Mom's Kancil is 15 years old this year. Dad have been doing a great job maintaining it, but nothing in this world is perfect or ideal. Machines wear and tear; engines age; electronics malfunction. This had happened to Kancil since a few years ago already, when the first symptom showed up: the car was not able to start at all. It had gone through 2 relapses already, the last one was on the last day of my holiday, February 27th.

The relay was the culprit, failing to switch on the starter during the ignition, causing the engine not to be cranked. And I was stuck in the basement parking in my university, feeling helpless. I couldn't do anything; I had no spare relays, and dad is more than 300km away. The only thing I could do was call him.

After some discussion, dad advised me on how to fix it. Lucky for me, two of my friends, JJ and Darren, happened to drive by me, and they got down to help me. Alas, my Kancil was fixed, temporarily, until I service it tomorrow morning. Had they not passed by me, I would not have gotten home tonight typing all these. A friend in need is a friend indeed.

The coaster train came to a level ground. When I got home, internet was miraculously fixed. The train started to climb up again.

Life is really like riding a roller-coaster, isn't it?
