Voices of Nature

Focus your mind, and listen. Did you hear that? The wind is whispering, "No matter how far you go, for you I'll blow." Close your eyes, and listen. Did you hear that? The sun is croaking, "In the time of darkness, I'll brighten up your day to the fullest." Relax your body, and listen. Did you hear that? The thunder is roaring, "There's nothing to be afraid of me, if you are brave enough to see." Look up to the sky, and listen. Did you hear that? The moon is whistling, "When you feel alone at night, remember I'll always by your side." Give it another try, and listen. Did you hear that? The stars are blabbering, "Alongside the moon, we will make your night more cheerful." Now, do nothing, just listen. Did you hear that? I said, "Although our friendship might be short, you are still a friend I'm happy to know."

Who Would Have Known?

This poem is specially written for a friend of mine who will be going to Segamat on 21st May 2007.
Who would have known? We used to be sitting in the same class, But we didn't know each other quite well. I was always the last, While she was a brilliant girl, i could tell. Who would have known? Then came the time we parted ways, And we would be on the different track. Some felt very sad to go away, But I continued my journey without looking back. Who would have known? I ended my secondary school life, Thank God, with peace of mind. But it was the year 2005, I looked back in time. Who would have known? I searched through the book, Looking for any handphone number. I stopped and I took a good look, There it was, a number belonged to a girl. Who would have known? Using my phone, I SMS-ed her, To my surprise, she did reply. From that day on, we always SMS each other, But I seldom meet her eye-to-eye. Who would have known? Even through text messaging, Our relationship improved in lightning speed. Sadness or joy she brings, I would help her when she needed it. Who would have known? Now that she will be gone, To a place outside of the town. Because of this I feel alone, Strange as it may sound. Who would have known? A 4-year gap between our friendship, Did not seem to have affected us. In fact, it actually improves it, I didn't expect this at first. Who would have known? Because future we can't predict, Past we can't forget. As the camera shutter clicks, The memory will be forever set. Who would have known? That from an almost complete stranger, It blossoms into such a beautiful friendship!
