诚意
原来诚意
能够打动一个人的心……
其实这篇部落格是要在昨天(21日)晚上写的,不过由于时间紧迫,况且已经用电话讲掉了,所以拖到今晚还没睡前才写
21日(星期一)那天,去了她的家教电脑
有时候还真的觉得很可怜
看她忙到连休息的时间都没有
连10天的假期都不够她用
心里真的觉得很难受……
我所能帮的却有限
顿时加重了我的难受……
那天中午到她家后
她好像还在忙着整理房间
虽然很忙,一整天都在一起复习功课
但她还是抽出时间,准备了一个小小的惊喜
『没有送你礼物,别介意哦,因为担心过了生日才送礼物会pantang嘛……』
一张纸相框,里头放着我们的合照;
一块小蛋糕,插着一只小小的蜡烛;
优美的声音,轻轻地唱着生日歌……
原来刚才她并非在忙着整理房间
而是在忙着准备了这小小的惊喜……

一年又过去了
想起去年的今天(22日),也是一样的小小庆祝
一片蛋糕,一支蜡烛,又一次的美好回忆……
时间还过得真快……
闭上眼睛许个愿
不,是一起许愿
一起吹熄蜡烛
希望愿望能实现……
傍晚时分,要回家了
临走前,她又从床上拿下一个大大的东西
是份礼物……
原来她口口声声说没送礼物,都是在隐瞒着我,想要给个大惊喜
『不知道你喜欢什么你要什么,因为你要的东西父母都能买给你。而我能买的东西却不多……』
由于礼物是圆筒形,礼物包扎起来不是很整齐
外层是礼物纸,内层则是报纸
不过我发现,这份报纸不是随便选出来的
因为报纸的日期是2009年9月9日……
『这份礼物包得不是很美,请你别介意。起初我以为很容易包,结果用了一整张的礼物纸都包不完,再加上你已经到我家了,不好意思让你久等,所以匆匆忙忙包到不是很美……』
在我眼里,这礼物已经包得很美、很好看了……
原来刚才她并非在忙着整理房间
而是在忙着准备着这份礼物……
『原本我想包成一粒糖果,但哪知礼物纸不够……我是已经很用心的在包了,别误会我是乱乱敷衍的包哦!』
听着她一而再地解释,我心里只想着一件事:
『我看得出你的心意……我看得出你已经很用心的在包了……即使你用礼物纸胡乱把礼物有如popiah般卷起来,我都觉得你包得很好看……』
因为诚意
才是真正的美丽
心里有说不出的感动
回到家
我哭了出来

在忙碌生活当中,如果你肯抽出一点时间
用心去为你心爱的人做出一个小小的行动
就算你做的再不好
他的心
依然会被你的诚意所打动……
原来
重要的
并不是你送什么礼物;
最美的
并不是你用什么包扎;
而是

你的心意……

The day i turned 20
September 16th, 2009:
The day i turned 20.
Somehow, i felt that time has gone too fast.
Look ma, I've grown up...
Birthday this year seemed a little different.
September 15th, 12.00am midnight, friends at my university here celebrated Ken Yao and my birthday, because his birthday is on 14th, and mine on 16th, so they decided to celebrate together on 15th. Moreover they were going back on 15th night for Raya holiday.
Today, September 16th, more friends are going back. And that lefts me. Bee Ching will be going back tomorrow, so i'll also be going back tomorrow too, i think.
What makes this birthday different is that i'm celebrating it with friends all around other places. Sometimes it makes me wished that we can be together for one more time...
Yesterday night Boonsin asked me out to yum cha as a celebration. A simple yet sincere party of two, with limau ais and nasi goreng. At least he did celebrate for me, as promised. Thanks, Boonsin.
And now, as i'm writing this blog, more friends are preparing to go back. Ken Yao and Wai Kit will be back to Muar and Malacca. Pau Ming will be going back at night, and he's going out singing k with the girls. Girls are also going home. Suddenly, i feel alone... very alone. I was having my lunch alone. Without the usual laughter of my roommate and my neighbour, lunch time seemed quiet. Without my roommate, the whole room seemed... quiet.
This birthday is lacking something, but i cant figure out what.
Maybe i am being paranoid.
Maybe i think too much.
Well, at least give myself a big...

A Present
#1: And in the end...
“To dream anything that you want to dream. That's the beauty of the human mind. To do anything that you want to do. That is the strength of the human will. To trust yourself to test your limits. That is the courage to succeed.”
According to some news, Jupiter was the closest to our planet Earth in human history. So close that without the help of telescope, one can actually see it, almost as large as our Moon, maybe even bigger. It was a hazy, fading image, something like if you go outside in the morning and look at the fading Moon, almost hidden behind the blue curtain of sky. It was a beautiful sight, albeit a little too odd.
The Jupiter had a blue contour line - it had atmosphere. The surface looked eerily same with our planet Earth, and I could make out its fading moons in front and behind it. It was as if I was staring at our own Earth! Or staring at another planet Earth. Gliese 581 maybe, but I was certain it was Jupiter. My elder brother was talking to my dad about a cool software used to determine the position of galaxies, when suddenly there came a loud thundering boom! from the horizon. It was deafening, and then I saw it.
The orangy outline of blast waves radiated outwards from a point in the horizon and streaked across the calm blue sky in every directions. It looked like the blue curtain was burned, slowly, astoundingly, and exposing the black outer space behind it. It was yet another eerily beautiful sight, and in a few moment, I knew what it was. It was the Big Bang.
My sight was quickly averted to my brother's laptop. He was still showing us the new software he obtained. The screen of his laptop was showing some kind of Cartesian coordinates system, and tiny dots were scatter around the coordinates. Some dots were big, while some were small. He moved the cursor and pointed at one of the dots. It was written Andromeda Galaxy. I was told that the origin point in the Cartesian systems was where the Big Bang started, and I saw some dots were close to the origin. Maybe they had just been born, I thought to myself. Then he asked me to find the Alpha Centauri Galaxy.
As I explored the Cartesian coordinates, I was very concentrated. It was as if I was literally sucked into the universe and frantically swimming around looking for a dot called Alpha Centauri. With so many big and tiny spots, searching a small dot was like finding a pin in a haystack. I became anxious, I felt disturbed. I panicked. Because I was actually swimming in the universe, and somehow I felt like I was lost. In the middle of nowhere!
Most of the galaxies were alien to me. I had never heard of them. And then I found it. A dot named Alpha Centauri. I breathed a sigh of relief, and everything started to fade away.The universe, the galaxies, the dots, my brother, my dad, the Jupiter, the clear blue sky, the blast waves... Slowly devoured by my opening eyes. Slowly replaced by the sight of a big bone right in front of me!
But phew! it was my bone-shaped pillow. Nothing to be afraid of. It took me a while to realize, and regained my control of my mind. And in the end, it was nothing...
...but a dream.
