Someday in the middle of the night, Someone came knocking at my door. I opened the door and what greeted my sight Was nothing at all. I was about to close the door, when Something stopped me from closing it. It was actually an old man With wrinkles all over his grey, wan face. Huffing and puffing and wheezing His stomach was growling. And so, I invited him in, And gave him something to eat. After gobbled up every single food and drink, He began to glow luminously And explained that he was actually A wizard from the Realm of Light. "Thou art so kind," he croaked, "Thus, I shalt grant thou three wishes" "Wish upon anything thou want," "And I wilt grant them one by one." After thinking for a while, I finally made up my mind. "Fortune" was the first thing i wanted, And the wizard waved his wand. 'Poof' "Here goes the fortune thou wished." Another old man appeared amidst us, Who claimed himself as "Hardworiking" "From now on, thou shalt take care of him." Amused by not getting anything Except a man called Hardworking, I made another wish "Success" was what i wished. 'Poof' "Here is the success thou wished." Again, another old man magically appeared Who uncannily resembled the other old man But "Dedication" was his name. I was very angry by that Everything I wished, old man was what I get. However, I still made my one last wish. "Anything that would last forever!" Nothing came out. Not even the 'Poof' sound. Nor the haggard looking old man. Instead, an image came into my mind. Clear as crystal, like a vivid memory. As if I WAS thinking it. It was an image of all the friends I knew. Every single one of them. Flowing like a cascading waterfall. "Friendship," was all the wizard say, When he noticed my puzzled look, Before he faded away, Along with the other two old men, Never to be seen again. Long I stood, Long I stared. Trying to figure out, What was that all about. 'Til now only I know What the wizard was trying to show. "In order to get "success" and "fortune". Thou hast to be hardworking and hast dedication. And the only thing that would last for eternity? 'tis FRIENDSHIP between you and me!"
