People are starting to worry about their future. Some say UK is a good place to further studies, others argue Australia is nice. Some prefer to stay local, to reduce the burden on their family. Most are in dilemma. Many undecided.
United Kingdom or Australia? That is the pivotal question. Great Britain Pound is heavier, but due to the similarity of syllabus, 2 years are exempted. Australia Dollar is lower, but is on the rising. Taylor's had been known to partner with UK universities like Birmingham or Portsmouth. But not Australia, except maybe UWA.
Claims and rumours are thrown around like waste paper to the basket. Some say University of Western Australia changed their policy, no more 2+2 programme. Some say Portsmouth and Bath never accept third year students. Some say RMIT is not good.
But in the end there is a trend. More and more people prefer Birmingham and get two years exemption. Taylor's used to offer twinning programme with Birmingham, but in year 2009, they cancelled the partnership and rolled out their own degree. Now students have to do credit transfer.
I guess I will be going RMIT alone, which I actually kind of like it. I admit I am a loner. I do not like to follow people to the same place, seeing people I hate to see again. I want to go somewhere no one knows me, somewhere peaceful. It will be a new experience going alone, adapting to a new environment. That is why I chose RMIT, where no one will ever think of going because of the stingy 1 year exemption. Plus, my brother is there, at least I do not have to worry much.
The only problem is, will I be able to leave everything behind?
Can we get through this 3 years without any problems...?
