Time Moves

Time moves.
People change.
Baby is growing up, learning new things every day. He babbles and yelps, trying to parrot what he hears. At the age of 12 months, he already knows how to pronounce Papa and Mama; knows that nodding head means agree/yes, shaking means disagree/no; knows that he is full or hungry; yawns when feeling sleepy; coughs when choking; laughs when happy; cry when sad.
He recognizes people, able to differentiate between family members and strangers. He cries when he can't see his mother or father. He will follow where his mother goes. And according to my brother, study shows that babies have already developed the sense of depth. That is true.

Time moves.
People change.
Kids are developing perception. They learn to differentiate between good and bad, do's and don't. They can respond to whatever people said to them, and even trying to fulfil their curiosity. They will ask questions when they can't comprehend what is going on around them. They will try to understand anything that concerns them. They develop moral and ethics, albeit with a tinge of playfulness.

Time moves.
People change.
Teenager is slowly moving into adulthood. He starts to see the big picture he has never seen before. Facing with social problems and personal conflicts, he has to decide which side should he stand. They say teenagers are very easily influenced by the surroundings, and that is true. In the process of deciding which side to stand, he has to be wary not to be influenced by others. Slowly, he will be looking at life through adult's perception, learn to take on responsibility, make decision by himself, and planning for his future.

Time moves.
People change.
Adults are facing their own harsh, stark problems. Leaving behind academic, relationship, future problems faced during teenage is not the end of the road. Now they have to think about work, family, finance. Are they making enough money? Are they earning enough to feed the family? Are their children getting what they are supposed to get? Are they facing financial problem? And not forgetting about their old-aged parents. They can't just leave them to the old folks home. That is cruel. Very, in fact.

Time moves.
People change.
Old people are living their life to the fullest. The scariest thing in the world is the fact that we don't know when will be the last day. At young age, we do not need to worry about this. We still have a very long way to go. But it's the opposite for old people. They reminisce, remembering the time when they were young, all those crazy things they had done. Because they don't know when will be the last day for them. Facing death is one thing, facing prominent death is another.

People change.

We are no longer babies. We don't crawl anymore (unless necessary).
We are no longer kids. We are not so carefree anymore.
We are no longer teenagers. We have determined our pathway, our perception.
We are slowly getting into adulthood. What lies ahead is serious matter compared to what we faced during the previous stages.

Time moves.
We change.
But we can't change the fact that time moves, and never looks back.
Not even once.
